Our Founders
Family Collective was not built from the outside looking in. It was created by two professionals who have spent their careers inside the world of exceptional families, one shaping how their children learn, the other understanding how they live. Together, Amina Iqbal and Jawad Ahmad built something the UAE has been missing.
Co-Founder
Educator. Leader. The Heart of Family Collective.
The Foundation
Amina Iqbal began her career as a qualified primary educator, not as a stepping stone, but out of a genuine conviction that exceptional teaching has the power to change lives. Over twelve years, that conviction only deepened. Her career moved with purpose and intention: from classroom teaching through middle leadership and senior leadership, into corporate education teams, school improvement initiatives, and curriculum development. She has shaped the structures through which children learn, and she has done so at every level.
Seven of those twelve years were spent in the UAE, one of the world's most dynamic and demanding educational environments. Working across multiple schools and roles, Amina developed a deep, nuanced understanding of the UAE's educational landscape: its curricula, its cultural expectations, its extraordinary diversity of need, and the particular standards that families here hold for their children's development.
The Turning Point
Four years ago, Amina began tutoring privately, and something remarkable unfolded. The families she worked with did not move on. Year after year, they returned, referred their friends, and deepened their trust in what she provided. She built long-standing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth families and VVIP clients across the UAE, offering not simply academic support but a holistic educational presence within the home, particularly during the period of distance learning, where the right professional became genuinely indispensable.
That continuity taught her something important: what these families valued most was never just qualifications on paper. It was character, consistency, and the rare ability to truly understand a child and a family's individual needs. The relationship was everything. And that insight became the founding principle of Family Collective.
The Gap
As her reputation grew, families began asking Amina to help them find other professionals, tutors for different subjects, sports coaches, specialist support. And she discovered something that both surprised and frustrated her: despite the abundance of platforms and agencies across the UAE, there was no trusted, premium service that took the matching process seriously. No one was asking the right questions, conducting the real vetting, or making introductions with the care and discernment that exceptional families deserved.
She saw tutors with impressive qualifications who lacked the interpersonal depth to truly connect with a child. She saw families, engaged, invested, exceptional families, settling for less than they should, simply because no better option existed. That gap was the beginning of Family Collective.
Co-Founder
Service. Discretion. The Standard of Family Collective.
The Foundation
Jawad Ahmad has spent his entire career in environments where ordinary is simply not an option. Eleven years in cabin crew, serving at the highest levels of international aviation, gave him something that cannot be taught in a classroom: an almost instinctive ability to read a room, anticipate a need, and deliver a response before it has even been requested. In the world of premium service, this is the difference between good and truly exceptional.
For Jawad, the details were never procedural, they were deeply personal. From the earliest stages of his career, he understood that every client, however accomplished and however affluent, carries a unique set of requirements, preferences, and unspoken expectations. The ability to identify those requirements with precision, and to meet them with absolute consistency, became the foundation upon which everything else was built.
The World of UHNW
From aviation, Jawad's career led him into one of the most exclusive and demanding service environments in existence, luxury superyachts. Serving ultra-high-net-worth clients and members of royal households across both the UK and UAE, he managed environments where every detail carried genuine significance. His experience with luxury households in both countries gave him a rare and invaluable dual perspective on the expectations of elite British and UAE-based families, expectations that are high in every environment, but distinctly different in character.
Working at this level taught Jawad something that most professionals never encounter: that for UHNW families, the standard is not simply high, it is bespoke. No two families are the same. No two requirements are identical. What matters is not a standardised service, but a deeply personalised response to what each individual family actually needs, often before they have articulated it themselves. Privacy, discretion, and absolute reliability are not features of this world. They are the minimum.
The Expertise
Jawad's career broadened further through facilities management and commercial property management in the UK, disciplines that demand operational precision and the ability to maintain exacting standards consistently across complex environments. These experiences deepened his already considerable understanding of what it means to deliver bespoke, high-stakes service at scale, not just in moments of direct client contact, but in every system and structure that supports the service.
Across every discipline, aviation, luxury superyachts, royal and UHNW household service, and property management, the common thread has always been the same: exceptional clients with exceptional expectations, and a professional who understood those expectations deeply enough to exceed them, consistently, and without being asked.
Together
When Amina and Jawad came together to build Family Collective, the alignment was immediate and profound. Amina brought twelve years of educational expertise, deep knowledge of UAE schools and curricula, and four years of trusted relationships with the most discerning families in the region. Jawad brought something equally rare and equally essential, a lifetime of bespoke service, an intuitive understanding of UHNW families, and the operational precision that transforms a vision into a world-class platform.
What they share is more important than what distinguishes them. Both have spent their careers in the service of exceptional families. Both understand that trust is earned slowly and lost quickly. Both know that the difference between a good introduction and the right one lies in the depth of understanding, of the family, of the professional, and of what it truly takes for that relationship to flourish.
Family Collective is not simply the sum of their experience. It is the expression of a shared conviction: that exceptional families deserve professionals who genuinely understand them, and that the process of making that connection should be as exceptional as the people involved. Every decision made at Family Collective, every professional vetted, every family matched, every introduction arranged, reflects the combined standard that Amina and Jawad have spent their entire careers building.
What Drives Every Decision
Everything we do is built on trust, the trust families place in us when they open their homes, and the trust professionals place in us when they commit to our collective. We earn it carefully and protect it absolutely.
The right connection between a family and a professional is transformative. We do not make introductions, we make connections. Thoughtful, purposeful, and deeply considered matches that are built to last.
We hold every professional in our collective to the same standard we hold ourselves, uncompromising, consistent, and never negotiable. Excellence is not an aspiration at Family Collective. It is the baseline.
Family Collective is more than a platform, it is a community of exceptional professionals and the families they serve. We are building something with depth, with longevity, and with a genuine sense of belonging at its heart.
Whether you are a family looking for exceptional support or a professional who shares these values, Amina and Jawad would love to hear from you.
