Our Vetting Process

Every professional in our collective is held to the highest standard, because the families we serve deserve nothing less. Here is exactly how we vet every tutor and coach before they are listed.

Three Stages. No Exceptions.

We do not cut corners. Every single professional on our platform has been through all three stages of our vetting process, without exception.

01

Qualification Verification

Before anything else, we verify that every professional's stated qualifications are genuine. We do not rely on self-reported credentials alone, documentation is required and checked.

  • Original degree certificates and transcripts reviewed
  • Teaching qualifications and professional certifications verified
  • Sports coaching licences and governing body accreditations confirmed
  • Employment history and professional references checked
  • Overseas qualifications verified where applicable
02

Pre-Interview with Our Team

A formal interview is conducted with every applicant by a member of the Family Collective team. This is not a formality, it is a genuine assessment of character, professionalism, and suitability to work with children and families.

  • Face-to-face or video interview conducted by our team
  • Assessment of communication skills and professional manner
  • Discussion of teaching or coaching philosophy and approach
  • Review of experience working with children and families
  • Scenario-based questions to assess judgement and values
  • Only candidates who meet our standard progress to stage three
03

Police Clearance Check

A clean police clearance certificate is a non-negotiable requirement for every professional joining the Family Collective. This is the final and most critical safeguarding step, protecting the children and families in our community.

  • Valid police clearance certificate required from country of residence
  • International checks required for professionals who have lived abroad
  • Certificates must be current, typically within the last 12 months
  • Any undisclosed criminal history results in immediate disqualification
  • Renewal required periodically for active members of the collective
